Restoration project: BT-13
The BT-13 Valiant
Currently, the Fargo Air Museum is supporting the full restoration of a Vultee BT-13 Valiant, at stage 2 flight trainer circa-WWII. Hard work, time, and dedication from board members, volunteers, engineering students from neighboring colleges and aviation enthusiasts alike are all piece-by-piece coming together and helping this piece of history do the same.
The Vultee BT-13 Valiant was an American World War II-era basic trainer aircraft built by Vultee Aircraft for the United States Army Air Corps, and later US Army Air Forces.
A subsequent variant of the BT-13 in USAAC/USAAF service was known as the BT-15 Valiant,
while yet another identical version for the US Navy was known as the SNV. It was used to train aviators for the US Navy and its sister services, the US Marine Corps and US Coast Guard.
